Our client is looking for a Key Cutting and Pinning Technician to work at our new location in the Midlands. This role would be perfect for a school leaver who is looking for a challenge. In this role, the Key Cutting and Pinning Technician will ensure that customers receive exemplary customer care and take ownership of tasks from start to finish. The role will involve the cutting of keys from copy or code, engraving keys, pinning up cylinders and assembling, servicing and repairing locks. All relevant skills, knowledge, tools and training will be provided on the job by the business.
Responsibilities
- Cutting keys from copy or code
- Pinning up cylinders and master key systems
- Assembling, servicing and repairing of locks
- Using key cutting computer systems
- Using Key Secure systems
- Engraving keys
- Visual decoding of keys for a variety of products
- Assisting the Technical Manager as required
- Assisting in the warehouse as required
Requirements
- Technical and mechanically minded with an eye for detail
- Willingness to learn and solve problems proactively
- Ability to multi-task and prioritise tasks
- Enthusiastic and energetic approach to meeting the responsibilities of your role
- An understanding or knowledge of locks and keys would be an advantage but not essential
