About the Role
As Key Account Manager, you will take responsibility for driving revenue growth, developing long-term customer partnerships, and promoting a comprehensive portfolio of fire doorset components and related products. This role combines account development, product promotion, market insight, and strategic commercial input.
You will report to the Business Development Manager and play a key part in delivering the company’s annual sales strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Primary Duties
- Drive revenue growth across the full range of fire doorset components by engaging proactively with existing customers and key stakeholders.
- Strengthen long-term strategic relationships to ensure retention, satisfaction, and future growth.
- Identify opportunities for adoption of compliance-led product solutions and clearly communicate their value to stakeholders.
- Understand evolving customer needs, offering tailored support and consistent communication.
- Monitor product demand, industry trends, competitor activity, and economic indicators — reporting insights to management to support strategic planning.
General Responsibilities
- Build on existing UK customer accounts to unlock new opportunities and support wider market growth.
- Contribute to UK pricing strategy by providing account-level insights and supporting product price list development.
- Prepare commercial proposals, quotations, and accurate sales estimates, ensuring timely conversion into confirmed orders across the full product range.
- Maintain strong technical and industry expertise by staying connected with sector developments and building meaningful networks.
- Support customer satisfaction efforts by helping identify issues, conducting root-cause analysis, and collaborating internally on sustainable resolutions.
- Maintain strong internal communication across multiple departments to ensure business alignment.
- Use industry knowledge to support wider projects, including supply chain improvements, procurement efficiencies, and overall market positioning.
Day-to-Day Expectations
- Deliver compelling presentations to customers and industry stakeholders.
- Proactively identify new business opportunities while supporting design professionals, fabricators, and specifiers to build a strong project pipeline.
- Uphold high standards in operational processes relating to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, FSC and PEFC Chain of Custody requirements.
Ideal Candidate
- Proven experience in the fire door, doorset, or wider construction product sector.
- Strong commercial awareness, relationship-building ability, and strategic thinking.
- Confident communicator with excellent presentation skills.
- Proactive, organised, and able to manage key accounts with autonomy.
