I had the occasion to replace a very well loved area sales manager earlier this year and engaged a number of recruitment operatives, all were very capable and put forward, in the main, very decent applicants for us to interview. Matthew at SFR Recruitment Solutions had the advantage of understanding the industry that I work in but not relying wholly on this he engaged with me to talk about the character needed to “fulfil” the role rather than “just be in” the role. He listened to me and we debated anything he needed clarification on.

I am not sure how many unsuitable applicants he did not put forward to me but the selection he gave us as a company were of a very high standard. The choice was not an easy one. Matthew had briefed them well as to what we as a company are about, as well as the rudiments of the roll requirements. 

This consulting approach was indeed very welcoming as selecting a particular person for a role in such a specialist industry is not easy and can be expensive to get wrong. All the staff at SFR Recruitment Solutions were excellent to deal with and with Matthew I have a recruitment expert who I can (and will when the opportunity arises) engage with again, meanwhile we have regular catch up conversations, not along the lines of “ got any vacancies coming up” but on a B2B stance which is really refreshing.
