Business Development Manager – SFR302

Our client is a leading manufacturer and supplier of high security entrance Solutions, selling into the commercial sectors of the market.

Business Development Manager – Automatic Doors

Location: Field Based (South East)

General Summary

Manage the Southern Area within a defined sales postcode map to ensure that he/she meets the UK Sales Strategy and that this is executed in accordance with the targets set and defined within the Company Business Plan and Commission Schedules, whilst protecting the best interests of the company and providing good customer service at all times.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

Drive an increase in new equipment sales values for the given region

Contribute to an increase in company profitability

Provide accurate monthly and weekly Forecasts

Identify opportunities for an increase in quality project related enquiries

Develop meaningful relationships with Architects, Contactors, Façade Contractors and End Users

Provide detailed specifications to Architects and End Users

Deliver company presentations and CPD to all clientele, but especially Architects

Carry out site surveys to facilitate the best solution based offer to the client

Maintain all CRM activities in a timely manner

Gather and share any market intelligence so we make the most of any opportunities

Increase market awareness and promote the Business.

Meet (or exceed) all KPI as set by the UK Sales Director

Ensuring clear, proper and detailed records are maintained on all projects

Ensuring the Company receive full details in writing relating to any orders received; discuss/arrange handovers of order with operations to ensure that the company is able to fulfil the order. Ensuring, prior to handover and order, that the terms of order are acceptable to the company.

Liaising with other departments and suppliers to ensure technical, contractual and financial matters are properly dealt with.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

Excellent communication and people management skills

To demonstrate a prolonged period of successful sales results

Experienced in selling and specifying a technical product

A high standard of commercial awareness

Have the ability to convey technical information precisely

PC literate and able to utilize MS Office applications

Accustomed to professional use of CRM systems and disciplines

Be a confident presenter and used to presenting to large groups of people

Previous Field Sales experience, with strong emphasis on B2B

Possess a valid European Union Passport

Ensure confidentiality is respected and maintained in all matters relating to the company operations

Display at all times, a courteous and responsible attitude towards work colleagues and customers

Special Competencies required:

Must be competent with all Microsoft applications

Must have a deep understanding and belief in CRM systems

Must be licensed to drive in the UK

Preferably a good understanding of the UK Specification & Construction market

Must be able to read and understand construction drawings

Additional Information:

Available to stay away from home when required, to provide suitable territory coverage

Prepared to work longer hours and outside of regular office hours if necessary

Must be totally trustworthy and of the highest integrity

Ideally located in the south East.

Territory Sales – SFR298

Our client is a leading manufacturer of entrance and security systems, including automatic doors, turnstiles, speed lanes and access control.


Following continued growth and internal promotion they are now seeking to hire an experienced Salesperson to join our team to primarily promote our Automatic Door and Entrance Systems, in the South London and South East area of the UK.

South East Postcodes include: RG, GU, RH, TB, CT, BN.

The role demands an active, project focused Salesperson ready to deal with End Users, Contractors, Architects and Specifiers to generate demand and maximise on company profit.

YOUR TASKS

As a Salesperson, your role will focus mainly on winning new business and so you will be expected to develop the territory and our customer base to ensure continual achievement of targets.

In addition to securing new business, you will also be responsible for:

  • The creation and implementation of future thinking business plans, in line with Company objectives to target new customers and business opportunities.
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with both internal colleagues and external clients with previous examples to prove this.
  • Sourcing, generating, and chasing enquires and convert into orders.
  • Presenting CPD’s (Continual Professional Development) to Architects.
  • Carrying out site surveys ensuring provision of sufficient information to enable reliable, accurate and competitive quotation preparation.
  • Continually supporting all customers to ensure they receive first class customer service, from the business to facilitate repeat business. 

YOUR SKILLS

  • Previous experience of selling a similar product and dealing with Specifiers and Architects.
  • You be results orientated and be able to provide examples of where you have exceeded sales targets.
  • You will have strong verbal and written communication skills, and experience of presenting to clients.
  • Experience with a CRM system, Salesforce desirable.
  • Strong negotiation and persuasion skills.
  • A full UK driving license is necessary for this position.

Our client is a leading manufacturer of Pedestrian Doors and Entrance Solutions. As the business grows, they are looking to recruit a National Business Developer to grow Key Accounts. The role will report into the Sales Director to develop plans for new end user targets and develop & integrate supply only channel to achieve target sales of £1.6 million annually.

Key Responsibilities;

• Achieve monthly & annual sales targets

• Follow up on enquiries & achieve personal KPI’s

• Management of Monthly order forecasts, Quotation pipelines & customer project schedules for each calendar year

• Become the “Go to person” for automatic doors. Our Brand will become the brand of choice.

• Agree T&C’s with end users & contractors

• Ensure all activities are recorded onto CRM system

• Have good working relationships with all departments Sales, operations & finance.
