The company:

My client specialises in the manufacture of windows, doors and home improvement products. This active business is looking to appoint an enthusiastic, reliable Branch Manager to join our team in Manchester.

The position:

The Ideal candidate will have high levels of organisation with a systematic approach to their tasks. Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy are important skills for the Branch manager, as well as excellent communication skills! This is a customer facing role which will involve management of a team and their development.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining existing customers and attracting new business to achieve targets
  • Managing of depot accounts and identifying sales opportunities
  • Accurately processing quotes and orders + Debt management and invoicing
  • Reporting and analysis of sales, margins and debt
  • Quality management of goods inwards and outwards + Planning and routing deliveries
  • Managing and developing on site team
  • Ordering items from external suppliers in line with company process
  • Determining depot pricing strategy to maximise operating margins
  • Providing technical customer support and providing professional support to Regional Manager
  • Ensuring the depot is open and full staffed in line with published hours
  • Managing the warehouse, stock turnaround and ensuring consistent, high standards of housekeeping.
  • Responsibility for the health and safety of the depot ensuring compliance with legislation and company policy

Skills & Attributes

  • You must demonstrate excellent communication skills and high levels of organisation
  • It is essential to have previous experience in the building products sector
  • You must have previous experience leading, supervising and developing a team
  • It is desired that you have previous experience working as a Depot Manager or Assistant Depot Manager.

Dispatch operative – JS191

SFR Recruitment Solutions are recruiting for a:

Dispatch and Warehouse person to join a market leading door manufacturer in Nottinghamshire.

We are looking for an experienced team leader that can confidently lead and oversee operations within a warehouse & distribution environment.

This role is hands on, picking products and loading delivery vehicles with your team, as well as organising daily delivery routes for the distribution fleet. will require you to, as well as stock replenishment and day to day dispatch duties.

Main Duties:

  • To lead, manage and support a team of order pickers, loaders and drivers.
  • Take responsibility for management and maintenance of the vehicle fleet (currently up to 6 vans).
  • Ensure stock integrity and availability prior to loading.
  • To be accountable for accurate control of customer orders and products being transferred within the company and outside suppliers.
  • Please note that glazed doors are heavy products, the lifting of which requires good physical strength and fitness.

This position would suit someone who was worked at team leader or shift supervisor levels previously. Not only will you be hands on with the warehouse operations, you will be responsible for the training and well-being of a small team of warehouse operatives working under your guidance. Previous experience in stock management software & warehouse admin is also a must have for this role.

More about the job:

  • £10.50+ per hour dependent upon experience.
  • Current working hours are 10.00 am – 7.00pm (5:30pm Fridays)
  • Working Monday to Friday (39 hours per week) plus overtime as required.

CNC Operator / Machinist – JS190

CNC Operator / Machinist

Location: Nottingham

Salary: £10- £12 per hour depending on experience.

Working hours: Monday to Thursday 9.00am – 6.00pm and Friday 9.00am -5.00pm with an hour lunch break.

Alternate shift 6.00am -3.00pm Monday to Friday

About our client:

Our client is a leading distributor of door and window hardware to the UPVC and timber industry with operations in both the UK and Ireland.  Their door division is a thriving part of the business and is experiencing significant growth.

An experienced CNC operator is required to work with their existing team at their new unit in Basford Nottingham. 

The CNC Operator / Machinist role:

The basic duties will be setting up and operating a CNC router, maintaining quality and safety standards.  Maintaining equipment and supplies and keeping records.

Reporting directly to the CNC Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring production and quality targets are met.

The ideal CNC Operator / Machinist must show previous performance and skills in the following areas;  

  • A CNC machine operating background would be necessary to support the ongoing manufacturing development and growth of the business.                
  • Experience on an SCM router if possible but not essential
  • Experience working on a Biesse & with BSolid programme would be advantageous
  • Knowledge of programming, Xilog also beneficial but not essential
  • Ability to work at own initiative
  • Flexible approach to work

  • Ability to follow instructions
  • Experience in woodworking
