About the role
Merchant Key Account Manager
The successful candidate will be tasked to retain and develop business within the existing account base and find new and profitable business through direct supply, and via business partners. Reporting directly to Sales Director he/she will be expected to identify business opportunities and develop long term relationships with both customers and colleagues.
The UK network consists of Builders, Agricultural & Engineers merchants, DIY, Electrical wholesalers. In addition distribution & sales into Locksmiths, Architectural Ironmongers, Security Installers, System Integrators and other Security Suppliers.

We are looking for a professional, competitive, enthusiastic business development manager with the ability to promote and sell our clients products. It will be down to your tenacious attitude to grow your customer base and boost your sales.
This is an exciting and challenging role, with the opportunity to join a flourishing company. The role will be a combination of managing existing accounts and also to develop new business opportunities to secure new customers. The role reports directly into the UK Sales Manager and has the overall objective of increasing the turnover and profitability of the business in the Midlands and South West inc. South Wales.
Be proactive, always looking to expand your customer base
Planning and organising your routes efficiently
Achieve and maintain your sales targets
Submit orders collected from customers to the sales office
Be proactive in learning the range of products
Ability to demonstrate ‘Key Cutting’ and ‘Security’ products to customers
Participate in trade shows and other sales events throughout the year
Required Skills & Experience:

Sales experience desirable
Presenting a clean and professional appearance at all times
Driven to achieve your sales target
Great personality – positive, likeable, good sense of humour, builds relationships easily
Holiday entitlement is 25 days plus bank holidays. Our client offers company pension scheme, additional leave for length of service and other company benefits. You will have use of a company car, phone and tablet.

journey to the international centre in Telford to attend the Master Locksmiths
Association 2019. After a few hours in the car and a slightly disappointing pastry
from the services we made it! Slightly confused about the whereabouts of the
car park we decided to follow a van with the word ‘locksmith’ on it and
surprisingly enough we found our way to the right car park.

The exhibition was well laid out, professional stands and unique products filled the space, meaning that it took many laps around the event to see everything and engage with people. It was enjoyable to see the passion that many had for their company, brand or product. From antique locks, bespoke safes and underwater security systems there was so many interesting products which demanded our attention. Overall the day was interesting, hectic, yet enjoyable.
