SFR Recruitment Solutions are supporting a leading manufacturer of Door Hardware. The role we are recruiting for Inventory Planner.

Primary objective

To ensure full availability of Inventory to meet customer orders and forecast requirements in

accordance with customer demand and inventory targets.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and develop existing supply chains

• Accurate interpretation of forecasts in support of Purchase Order placement

• Integral part of the Planning team and key liaison between Sales, Product Management, Quality, Customer Service, Operations etc.

• Ensuring Purchase Orders are shipped on time from suppliers – expediting when necessary.

• Liaising & co-ordinating Inbound consignments with Freight Forwarders to ensure maximum efficiencies are obtained.

• Maintaining accurate detail pertaining to products on Microsoft AX and Syspro.

• Compilation, analysis and presentation of key data related to Inbound Supply to Management within the business.

Main Duties

• Monitor customer forecasts and associated demand, ensuring optimum inventory levels are ordered when required.

• Communicate with overseas suppliers & freight forwarders.

• Daily communicate with customer services in respect of stock availability to meet customer orders.

• React to changes in customer demand and take necessary action to mitigate risk to the business where possible, with existing purchase orders.

• Enter/maintain accurate data onto ERP systems

• Work closely with the Group central purchasing team to leverage best value.

The role we are recruiting for is An Internal Sales Representative based in Birmingham.

Job Purpose

Principally working alongside the existing Specification Sales Team & Business Development Manager (UK) to manage, maintain and convert the existing company quote bank, ensuring an upward growth curve. Interaction with the Main & Sub Contractor customer base (internally) to provide high levels of customer service, also proactively assisting an allocated Specification Sales Consultants quote bank to ensure all projects, at whatever stage, are continually followed up, with report status current and next actions clearly communicated.

Previous Experience.

Internal Sales Experience. preferably within the Main Contractor & Joinery Sub-Contractor Sectors

Duties.

  • Develop trusting relationships with identified Joinery Sub Contractors, and ensure they have a contact within the business.
  • To understand the needs and requirements of our customers and continue to build relationships with new and existing customers.
  • To serve as the link of communication between key customers and the Specification team.
  • Regularly liaise with the Specification team and chase quotes to increase the conversion rates.
  • To resolve customer queries and complaints, and ensure trust is always maintained.
  • Generating new sales from offering knowledge and guidance on non-company Specified projects helping to build our long-lasting contractor relationships.
  • On a monthly basis, report successes, losses and constraints to the Business Development Manager (UK) and work towards building a clear path between specification and order receipt.
  • Review of the lost report each month with your line manager, agreeing on a plan of action relating to each.

The Position

Located in Berkshire, the role primarily involves undertaking installations, repairs and maintenance to all types of industrial doors & roller shutters, gates, barriers, auto and manual doors. 

We are looking for a positive “solution provider” and someone who is willing to assist with other areas of work as and when required. 

This is a permanent full time position.

  • Engineering background
  • Practical experience with either/and roller-shutters, sectional doors, gates, barriers, auto doors.
  • Electrical, Welding or hydraulics experience desirable but not essential.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Experience recommending further works to be carried out on site.
  • Current clean driving licence

The Position:

Due to the continued expansion, our client is now recruiting for a Technical Sales Representative in London.

The Role:

  • Your role will be to identify, develop and close profitable sales opportunities for the company, through developing excellent customer relationships and provision of technical support. 
  • Target key architects and develop strong relationships to develop specifications of architectural ironmongery, door sets, balustrades and security products.
  • Identify through effective communication with customers details of specific projects: budget, timescales, product requirements, alternatives, competition.
  • Identify and follow up with key decision-makers on projects and develop strong relationships to influence decisions.
  • Gain information of competitor quotes to compare and identify key differences and or value engineer more price effective solutions
  • Identify where the wider group, regional or national opportunities may occur and liaise with line manager about how these may be progressed.
  • Use relevant internal IT and processes (CRM) to help prioritise workload and remain fully updated at all times.
  • Be accountable for the conversion of enquiries into sales orders at appropriate margins. Liaise with estimators and provide any information required to maximise conversion rates.
  • Pre-qualify all enquiries and provide key information to the estimating team to aid with quote preparation.
  • Ensure live projects are tracked in real-time to ensure they are secured.
  • Be prepared to support other areas of the business as required.
