37.5 Hours a week.

SFR Recruitment Solutions are pleased to be supporting a leading Architectural Ironmongery Manufacturer and supplier.

The role we are recruiting for is An Internal Sales Representative based in Birmingham.

Job Purpose

Principally working alongside the existing Specification Sales Team & Business Development Manager (UK) to manage, maintain and convert the existing company quote bank, ensuring an upward growth curve. Interaction with the Main & Sub Contractor customer base (internally) to provide high levels of customer service, also proactively assisting an allocated Specification Sales Consultants quote bank to ensure all projects, at whatever stage, are continually followed up, with report status current and next actions clearly communicated.

Previous Experience.

Internal Sales Experience. preferably within the Main Contractor & Joinery Sub-Contractor Sectors

Duties.

  • Develop trusting relationships with identified Joinery Sub Contractors, and ensure they have a contact within the business.
  • To understand the needs and requirements of our customers and continue to build relationships with new and existing customers.
  • To serve as the link of communication between key customers and the Specification team.
  • Regularly liaise with the Specification team and chase quotes to increase the conversion rates.
  • To resolve customer queries and complaints, and ensure trust is always maintained.
  • Generating new sales from offering knowledge and guidance on non-company Specified projects helping to build our long-lasting contractor relationships.
  • On a monthly basis, report successes, losses and constraints to the Business Development Manager (UK) and work towards building a clear path between specification and order receipt.
  • Review of the lost report each month with your line manager, agreeing on a plan of action relating to each.

My client specialises in the manufacture of windows, doors and home improvement products. This active business is looking to appoint an enthusiastic, reliable Branch Manager to join our team in Birmingham.

The position:

The Ideal candidate will have high levels of organisation with a systematic approach to their tasks. Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy are important skills for the Branch manager, as well as excellent communication skills! This is a customer facing role which will involve management of a team and their development.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining existing customers and attracting new business to achieve targets
  • Managing of depot accounts and identifying sales opportunities
  • Accurately processing quotes and orders + Debt management and invoicing
  • Reporting and analysis of sales, margins and debt
  • Quality management of goods inwards and outwards + Planning and routing deliveries
  • Managing and developing on site team
  • Ordering items from external suppliers in line with company process
  • Determining depot pricing strategy to maximise operating margins
  • Providing technical customer support and providing professional support to Regional Manager
  • Ensuring the depot is open and full staffed in line with published hours
  • Managing the warehouse, stock turnaround and ensuring consistent, high standards of housekeeping.
  • Responsibility for the health and safety of the depot ensuring compliance with legislation and company policy

Skills & Attributes

  • You must demonstrate excellent communication skills and high levels of organisation
  • It is essential to have previous experience in the building products sector
  • You must have previous experience leading, supervising and developing a team
  • It is desired that you have previous experience working as a Depot Manager or Assistant Depot Manager.

KBB Birmingham 2020 – SFR Recruitment Solutions Experience

Earlier this month our team at SFR Recruitment Solutions attended the KBB Birmingham 2020 at the NEC (prior to changing circumstances). This was our first ever visit to the event so we had little knowledge as to what to expect! Walking into the event it was 1 – MASSIVE and 2 – Every set up was incredibly well designed as expected!

Walking around the NEC was like looking at a very well curated Pinterest board, after taking inspiration from many of the sets I came to the realisation that I would indeed need a mansion to fit the designs in.

From space savvy wardrobes to kitchen surfaces with sofas attached, this expo really did have something for everyone. Our team was very much in awe, the KBB featured many amazing new and interesting products. It was brilliant to speak to so many industry passionate professionals!
