Key Tasks:

• Communicate with existing customers to ensure opportunities to quote and secure

contracts.

• Use Sales Database to track and contact existing and potential customers. Use other

resources i.e. internet, trade journals etc with a view to potential future business.

• Locate and target new markets for our products.

• Plan and prioritise activities and customer / prospect contact towards achieving agreed

business aims, including costs and sales.

• Plan and manage agreed territory according to an agreed market development strategy.

• Manage product pricing and margins according to agreed aims.

• Use customer and prospect contact activities tools and systems, and update relevant

information held in these systems.

• Respond to and follow up Sales enquiries using appropriate methods.

• Monitor and report on market and competitor activities and provide relevant reports and information.

• Communicate, liaise, and negotiate internally and externally using appropriate methods to

facilitate the development of profitable business and sustainable relationships.

• Attend and present at external customer meetings and internal meetings with other

company functions necessary to perform duties and aid business development.

• Attend training and to develop relevant knowledge, techniques and skills.

• Adhere to health and safety policy, and other requirements relating to care of equipment.

 

Key Requirements for Role:

• Full, clean driving license.

• A good standard of Maths and English.

• Good time management and organisational skills.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken.

• Ability to take ownership of tasks through to completion.

 

Person Specification:

• Ideally 3 years of experience in a similar role.

• Ideally familiarity with door manufacturing and hardware.

• Familiarity with modern manufacturing techniques.

• Professional demeanour.

• Self-motivated.

• A resilient nature.

• Target-driven

Area Sales Manager – MR252

Our client is a leading brand of Architectural Hardware products selling to the trade, merchant and distribution channels.

Due to an internal promotion, they are looking to recruit an Area Sales Manager with architectural ironmongery and builders merchants sales background to develop our growing business and manage existing customer based in South London and surrounding counties.

Responsibilities

  • To manage existing architectural ironmongery and builders merchant accounts
  • Develop new sales business with existing accounts in the territory
  • Actively developing new business accounts

Working hours

Monday to Friday, 8:30 – 17:00

1 hour lunch break

Salary – £30,000.00 – £35,000.00 dependent on experience (negotiable)

Company car and fuel card

Non – contractual bonus based on sales/ non- contractual spot bonuses

Family run business with a low labour turnover

Auto enrolment into the government workplace pension scheme

Expenses paid for.

Area Sales Manager – MR213

SFR recruitment solutions are working with a leading manufacturer of timber doorsets and windows, who are looking to strengthen their external sales team with the appointment of an Area Sales Manager to cover the south and midlands, UK.

In the role of an Area Sales Manager the successful applicant will be responsible for generating new business whilst managing a base of strong existing Installer and contractor accounts. It is desirable that you have worked in the door, fire door or window market before however full support will be given along with training on the company’s range of products.

The role will involve regular visits to new and existing customers. You will be responsible for generating new sales in an area where there is great potential for growth, managing appointments through a CRM system and providing technical advice when needed.

The role comes with a basic salary and commission scheme, company car, fuel card, laptop etc.
