SFR Recruitment Solutions are delighted to be working closely with a market leader in the digital and mechanical security products industry. Suppling both mechanical and electrical locking solutions and security hardware to trade and retail.

We are recruiting a Product Manager to lead and develop our Product Management activities in the UK. You’ll be responsible for presenting our products in ways that will strengthen our brand and boost sales. Product Marketing Managers are responsible for developing effective marketing strategies and plans to communicate the features and benefits of new products to customers. They handle market research on current trending products, establish timescales for upcoming products, influence pricing and packaging, guide sales teams, develop messaging and market positioning around products and take part in presentations and events. Frequently, Product Marketing Managers are the ‘voice of the customer’ within their company, precisely researching consumer needs and experiences. In this key role in the business you will be responsible for product managing all of our mechanical and electronic security hardware product groups. Having a commercial mindset and full comprehension of marketing and sales principles you will need to build strong relationships across the business in the UK such as sales, marketing, customer service and operations as well as regular interaction with a team of Product Managers based in abroad. For this role, you will be a creative and quantitative thinker. You should be familiar with various product marketing techniques, such as executing launch plans and developing pricing strategies. Your goal will be to develop and implement the most profitable plans to position and promote our products in the best way possible.

Responsibilities

· Work closely with Marketing & Sales management to develop product pricing models, key messaging, and value proposition

· Together with Marketing & Sales teams, educate both internal and external stakeholders on our product features and their benefits.

· Work closely with the Marketing Director to create marketing programs (e.g. sales documentation, catalogues, pricelists, product videos, website copy, blog posts) that articulate the benefits of our products

· Conduct market analysis to obtain understanding of the competitive landscape and help establish product differentiators

· Create sales collateral and tools that align with the buying process and help move prospects & customers through the sales cycle

· Assist sales on calls when appropriate to provide deeper dives into the product.

· Speak and present both internally and externally to promote the story of our product.

· Translate technical details into benefits for the user

· Follow and analyse market trends to develop positioning of key products

· Develop product marketing strategies (pricing, advertising, product launching)

· Work with various teams (design, marketing, product management, sales) to implement product growth strategies

· Evaluate projects using relevant KPIs and feedback from existing and prospective customers

· Research and analyse company sales data and market plans

· Plan long-term development strategies for product categories

· Design exit strategies for obsolete or unsuccessful products

· Develop and manage a master pricelist system ensuring products are active and priced correctly in the company ERP system

· Work closely with Operations & Purchasing to support product availability & stocking levels

· Provide technical support & training to customers and the sales team where needed on existing products, and new product launches

· Conduct competitor research and learn about appropriate ways to react and position our products accordingly

· Work with customers and merchandisers to find new ways of expanding product categories in key accounts

· Calculate forecasts for product demand trends

· Track and report on product category sales for newly launched products

Requirements

· 5+ years of product marketing or product management experience

· Strong communication skills

· Ability to develop, organise, and maintain process documentation

· Ability to create, update, and maintain pricing documents

· Proven track record of executing successful product launches

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to sell ideas well through creative & innovative presentations.

· Exceptional project management skills

· Prefer working in a collaborative, cross-team capacity. This role requires you to work across functions and departments.

· Strong experience in working within ERP systems.

· BSc/BA in Business, Marketing or similar field

SFR Recruitment Solutions are very excited to being working on this key and strategic Category Product Manager opportunity. Our client is a leading brand in smart home security solutions.  

 
The Primary Objective  
 
To develop, implement, manage and drive the agreed product range strategies and plans, in order to achieve market share, sales turnover and gross margin objectives for the all Door Hardware brands.
 
Key Responsibilities & Duties 

The key responsibility of the Security Product Category Manager is the management of all aspects of the product group and/or service, in order to create and deliver superior customer satisfaction, whilst simultaneously providing long-term value for the company. In addition, provide technical support to other selling units, and respective Product Managers, as and when required.

· Strategic development of the cylinders and padlocks category for both UK and Export markets. 

· Collaboration with the lock case product manager for strategic development of the mechanical push button lock category for both UK and Export markets. 

· Identification of market gaps, key value chain drivers, trends and customer profit potential. 

· Aligning product development with group strategies where possible. 

· Consistent and regular interface in the field – customer/commercial market – VOC 

· Support and drive product sales through proactive activities to support the field based commercial team. 

· Initiate and own market research, obtaining buy-in from relevant stake holders producing creative and original specifications for best-in-class customer centric products working with product Marketing and sister companies where appropriate. 

· Create and sponsor generation plans to drive NPI and product lifecycles. 

· Full and coherent understanding of competitors products and positioning in the market. 

· Understand and translate all industry standards and leverage to commercial advantage. 

· Overall management and co-ordination of New Product Development programs on time and to budget. 

· Creation of effective cost/price/value propositions maximizing turnover and profit potential for the business, driving market share and the re-investment in the brands. 

· Full commercialization of new product launches. 

· Monitoring and tracking of KPI’s:

Education / Qualifications:

SFR Recruitment Solutions are working on an exciting opportunity for a Product Manager — Access Solutions / Access Control based in the West Midlands.

To manage and co-ordinate the Access Control portfolio, including developing business development and marketing strategy alongside the sales and marketing teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build relationships with key stakeholders to understand the needs of each department and implement strategies that meet requirements.
