Job Description: 

Excellent opportunity to join a successful company for an experienced Sales Manager with knowledge of the gate and door automation industry.  Responsibilities will include management of existing accounts.  Identifying and securing new business to existing and new accounts.  Liaising with Marketing to improve brand awareness and promote products and solution campaigns.  Manage sales staff to ensure gap selling and up selling opportunities are maximised.  Promote and develop relationships with customers.  Supporting customers in identifying a solution for the requirements and being able to talk through and support queries regarding the products and their set up.  Liaising with and supporting the technical department and management where required.

Our client is looking for a Key Cutting and Pinning Technician to work at our new location in the Midlands. This role would be perfect for a school leaver who is looking for a challenge. In this role, the Key Cutting and Pinning Technician will ensure that customers receive exemplary customer care and take ownership of tasks from start to finish. The role will involve the cutting of keys from copy or code, engraving keys, pinning up cylinders and assembling, servicing and repairing locks. All relevant skills, knowledge, tools and training will be provided on the job by the business.


  • Cutting keys from copy or code

Objectives of this Role

  • Establish positioning, identify target audiences, and develop marketing plans with specific objectives across different channels and segments
  • Lead the execution of marketing programs from start to finish

Daily and Monthly Responsibilities

  • Head up strategy and implementation for Email Marketing, SMM, PPC, PR, and Content Creation
  • Work with our team of designers to oversee all creative projects including videos, 3D product design, catalogues, visual merchandising, and more
  • Oversee design and development for exhibitions and trade shows including creating stand design briefs and managing build partners
  • Manage the design and production of packaging for products
  • Gather customer and market insights to inform outreach strategies, increase customer conversions, and generate more qualified leads
  • Identify effectiveness and impact of current marketing initiatives with tracking and analysis, and optimise accordingly
  • Present ideas and final deliverables to internal and external teams, and communicate with senior leaders about marketing programs, strategies, and budgets

Design Engineer – MR224

SFR Recruitment Solutions are very excited to being working on this opportunity for a Design Engineer within a Door Hardware business in the West Midlands, reporting to the Technical Manager.

The Primary Objective

Providing product/process design expertise initially focused on Emergency Exit Hardware with further NPI’s for the Door Hardware Group.

  • To control/modify/create Bills of Materials ensuring a high degree of accuracy

Key Responsibilities & Duties

Based upon NPI remit, the creation of the products through Autocad Inventor / Solid Works, ensuring accuracy of componentry.

•             Following the business Gateway process.

•             Generation of production drawings for parts and assemblies.

•             FMEA analysis (parts and assemblies).

•             Identification of key suppliers for sample production and the provision of drawings.

•             Provision of drawings/tolerances/golden samples to the Quality Department for inwards goods inspection.

•             Working with the Product Management team to ensure all data is captured in advance of product launch.

•             Raising and processing engineering changes

The Ideal Candidate

•        Industry product knowledge

•        Possess pressed componentry, machined components and plastic moulding experience

•        Hold extensive practical 3D CAD system experience and be able to demonstrate, ideally through Autocad Inventor / Solid Works

•        Assembly modelling (including mechanism design and simulation)

•        Understanding of component use of liner tolerancing

•        Proficient use of geometrical tolerancing (ISO 1101)

•        Knowledge of ISO 10135 (indication of moulded parts)

•        Experience in production drawing creation for both parts and assemblies

•        Good understanding of basic metrology

•        Excellent communication skills

The role we are recruiting for is An Internal Sales Representative based in Birmingham.

Job Purpose

Principally working alongside the existing Specification Sales Team & Business Development Manager (UK) to manage, maintain and convert the existing company quote bank, ensuring an upward growth curve. Interaction with the Main & Sub Contractor customer base (internally) to provide high levels of customer service, also proactively assisting an allocated Specification Sales Consultants quote bank to ensure all projects, at whatever stage, are continually followed up, with report status current and next actions clearly communicated.

Previous Experience.

Internal Sales Experience. preferably within the Main Contractor & Joinery Sub-Contractor Sectors


  • Develop trusting relationships with identified Joinery Sub Contractors, and ensure they have a contact within the business.
  • To understand the needs and requirements of our customers and continue to build relationships with new and existing customers.
  • To serve as the link of communication between key customers and the Specification team.
  • Regularly liaise with the Specification team and chase quotes to increase the conversion rates.
  • To resolve customer queries and complaints, and ensure trust is always maintained.
  • Generating new sales from offering knowledge and guidance on non-company Specified projects helping to build our long-lasting contractor relationships.
  • On a monthly basis, report successes, losses and constraints to the Business Development Manager (UK) and work towards building a clear path between specification and order receipt.
  • Review of the lost report each month with your line manager, agreeing on a plan of action relating to each.
