Group Supply Chain Manager – SFR402

Our client is a family owned group of businesses that contain two manufacturers and two distributors. The business is now looking to recruit someone in the position of Supply Chain Manager. To lead and over see two purchase administrators.

Responsible for all consumable purchases for the Group companies:

  • Visiting, evaluating and relationship building and maintenance with Suppliers.
  • Price negotiation and effective purchasing and reordering procedures.
  • Research product specification sources of new products.
  • Agree product quality standards and ensure these standards are maintained throughout the supply chain process.
  • Product specification – working with the warehouse supervisor, ensuring deliveries are to specification from samples, first offs and ongoing quality inspection to maintain quality.
  • Rectify product non-conformances with suppliers and associates.
  • Analysis of KPI supplier data presenting findings and actions at KPI reviews
  • Control of supplier invoices and associated paperwork, passing off for payments
  • Maintenance of pricing data and responsibility to supply data to accounts for system standard pricing/uplifts and updates.
  • Providing packaging waste information on an annual basis for Distribution
  • Management of Imports globally for purchased items, shipping agents, paperwork through to delivery.
  • Assisting in providing data for the negotiation of transport contracts
  • Providing and managing data for the product development and technical function of the business
  • Attend and contribute to product meetings with accurate supply and pricing data when required.
  • Provide office support and product training when required.
  • Training and maintenance of the use of the balance calculator within the sales function
  • Waste Transfer duty of Care Requirements

Customer Service Project Manager – SFR399

We are currently seeking an organised and detail-oriented Customer Service Project Manager to join our business at this exciting time as we experience further business growth.

As part of the Customer Service Team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our customers receive the best service, are kept up to date with their order, troubleshoot any issues encountered and liaise with various internal departments to ensure we get orders to customers in the agreed timescales. 

Key duties and responsibilities:

Work closely with the technical scheduling team to ensure all technical queries are closed out to a level that enables the job to be prepared for the factory.

Obtain site programmes, adhere to delivery timescales and book in deliveries with site.

Manage projects from order stage through to delivery providing an excellent customer experience.

Interact and collaborate with internal teams to answer or resolve project queries or questions.

Provide information or data to customers where required.

Raise quotations and process sales orders to assist customers with additional requirements.

Process purchase orders and ensure costs are allocated correctly.

Deal with customer queries ensuring a resolution is arrived at that is satisfactory to both the business and the customer.

Dealing with multiple order and enquiry values up to circa £1m.

What we need from you:

Experience in doors and/or ironmongery preferred but not essential.

Experience of project management preferred but not essential if can demonstrate other skills.

Excellent Communication skills, both written and verbally.

Be knowledgeable and resourceful.

Be detailed conscious and organised.

Have the ability to follow through a task to completion.

Technical Manager – SFR395

Key Responsibilities – Lead the development of new products and solutions. – Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards. – Manage the testing and certification process for all products. – Product design, including through the use of CAD software with the team. – Provide technical support to the sales team and customers. – Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers and partners. – Positive representation of the group to the public and customers. – Staying up-to-date with the latest industry product and solution requirements and potential future directions. – Represent the company at industry-wide association events and seminars, engaging with the industry to help shape its future. – Interpretation of research to help identify new applications, solutions and target customers.

Requirements – Minimum of 5 years of experience in technical management. – Strong background in passive fire protection products, including fire stopping solutions and fire door seals. – Experience of other market sectors as well will be beneficial but not a requirement. – IFE Level 3 Foundation Certificate in Passive Fire Protection qualification is preferred. – Experience in product design, including through use of CAD software. – Excellent communication and leadership skills. – Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities. – A keen interest in manufacturing processes and flexibility to support engineering colleagues as needed. – Ability to develop technical knowledge of products quickly and accurately, and not necessarily just passive fire related.
