Chartered Building Surveyor – SFR534

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and qualified surveyor to join a professional team delivering a wide range of building surveying services across a diverse property portfolio.

💰 Up to £85,000 DOE + £450 Car Allowance + Fuel Card

The Role

You will be responsible for providing expert building surveying services, including condition surveys, defect diagnosis, project specifications, contract administration and project management. Acting as a trusted advisor to clients, you will ensure projects are delivered to the highest professional standards and in line with all relevant legislation and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Building surveys and condition assessments
  • Defect analysis and remedial recommendations
  • Preparation of specifications, costings and project programmes
  • Contract administration and tender management
  • Advising on building regulations and property legislation
  • Feasibility studies and development projects
  • Health & Safety guidance and compliance
  • Managing projects from inception through to completion

Requirements

  • Degree in Building Surveying or equivalent
  • RICS Accredited
  • Relevant post-graduate surveying experience
  • Strong analytical and commercial skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders effectively

Additional Information

This is a site-based role with regular travel across projects and client locations. Working hours are 8:30am – 4:30pm, Monday to Friday, with occasional overnight stays and out-of-hours work where required.

Candidate Requirements

  • Proven Project Management experience within construction, maintenance or a related sector.
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills.
  • Commercial awareness and budget management capability.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Health & Safety knowledge.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.

Candidate Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Contracts Manager or senior operational manager within construction or a related sector.
  • Strong commercial awareness and budget management experience.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Sound knowledge of Health & Safety legislation.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
