Our client is a globally recognised and successful company with the architectural hardware and access solutions market. Due to continued growth and new product innovation they wish to recruit a Business Development Manager to cover the UK.

Your main role will be to establish a direct and indirect pipeline for product to generate sales and develop a partner network to pull sales into the market.

Other responsibilities will include:

Keep in contact with all customers, follow up on all leads working with our internal teams to ensure we maximise on all potential opportunities.

Be involved in the development of the sales strategy to enable market growth and positive sales success.

Work alongside product development teams to agree methods to penetrate market share.

Take responsibility for growing the company direct/partner business and manage the sales process from end to end e.g., liaising with marketing, completing quotes and solution engineering.

Monitor progress through our CRM system (Salesforce) to be able to track active sales, provide feedback on the market and evaluate competitor activity.

We are looking for:

We are looking for candidates with previous experience working in a Sales environment, preferably selling similar access control solutions.

As a full sales role, we are looking for an experienced salesperson, who has the motivation to succeed and shares our passion for the products.

You will be a confident communicator and have experience dealing with a range of stakeholders, across all levels of a company.

The role is a home based position, however, this is a national sales role and so you would be expected to cover the whole of the UK.

This person with be tasked with promoting a range of access control solutions to Installer and distribution partners. Assuring best for purpose products and solutions in the end user environment.

TASKS

• Within the role the Salesperson will lead this business initiative and be responsible for proposing, coordinating, and delivering the business strategy to ensure profitable growth for the product range within the distribution and installer channels.

• This role requires the Salesperson to take full responsibility of the sales process with tasks such as: • Building and supporting our customer relationships, offering excellent service to support continual growth and increased sales.

• Educating our channel partners, training them on our products and solutions and keeping them updated with any new features.

• Support channel partner on pre-sales activities and in project execution.

• Gathering market research from channel partners to liaise with Product Management to influence and develop the product roadmap.

YOUR SKILLS

• We are looking for a Salesperson with previous experience completing access control projects, offering support to customers pre-sales right though to project completion. You will have a sales background in in systems and software and have sold technical products.

• You will be a confident communicator, passionate, good with time management and have a strong sales ability to provide our channel partners with the best solutions and product offering.

• For the role, the right Salesperson will be innovative, enthusiastic, and able to achieve and exceed financial targets personally while also working collaboratively with a team.

Role – A vacancy exists for a Business Development Manager, Digital Key Systems

This is UK wide role.

Our Client – A market leading brand and manufacturer in the digital and mechanical locking industry

The primary objective of this position is to:

  • Be responsible for developing and driving the sales and commercial strategy for the Digital key platforms marketed the business.

Key responsibilities and duties include:


  • To develop, co-ordinate, and grow sales of Digital Key systems / products / services marketed by the business, across the UK and Ireland.
  • Promote and sell software based solutions using a consultative approach towards integration, and the return on investment thereof.
  • Alongside senior management, develop and implement the commercial strategy for Digital Key systems.
  • Develop new business within end user clients within multiple sectors as identified e.g. commercial, retail, health, education, industrial, government.
  • Work closely with the sales teams targeting end users (regionally and vertically) to identify, qualify, negotiate and close new business.
  • Establish and grow a robust network of Digital Key system dealers that can both target new business, and support the business generated through our own salesforce and marketing activities
  • Ensure the assigned network is educated and understanding of the capabilities regarding solutions available with the Digital Key product, including integration options, enhanced reporting, and finance models.
  • Fully utilise current relationships with dealer network to generate new business and provide support in downstream sales activities.
  • Prepare and deliver technical sales presentations, CPD events, and demonstrations showing the capabilities of the products, and possibilities for bespoke solutions.
  • Provide accurate forecasting and activity information to senior management / appropriate parties on an agreed basis and forecast future trends.

The ideal candidate will:


  • Have a proven record of accomplishment in a Business Development role.
  • Have advanced technical sales skills in a B2B environment.
  • Have a technical understanding of security products.
  • Have experience in the Access Control, electromechanical sales market, and a working knowledge of the re-seller and consultant community.
  • Possess good communication/ interpersonal skills, and good presentation skills.
