This role requires a driven & high calibre, NEW BUSINESS FOCUSED SALES MANAGER looking to enhance their career with one of the Pioneers and industry innovators in sustainable Locking Systems, Electromechanical Locks, Cylinders, Digital Locking Systems & other closely aligned solutions.

Due to growth and expansion, we are seeking to recruit an experienced and highly motivated SALES MANAGER to join the team with responsibility for promoting the full portfolio of Digital Locking products and solutions to the built environment in London. Built environment covers hospitals, schools, student housing, property management, but to let, office rental, etc.

The Role

Reporting to the Head of Sales, The SALES MANAGER will be responsible for:

  • Prospect for new clients by networking, drawing on existing contacts and relationships, cold calling, site visits or other means of generating interest along with be responsibility for maintaining, growing, nurturing and developing existing key accounts.
  • Plan persuasive approaches and pitches that will convince potential clients to do business with our clients based on facts.
  • Develop a rapport with new clients, set targets for sales and provide support that will continually improve customer relations.
  • Grow and retain existing accounts by presenting new products, solutions and services to clients by working with mid and senior level management, marketing, and technical staff.
  • Introduce controlled sales growth by strategic planning and target KPI’s.
  • The sales team ultimate aim is to create market pull for products, supports and trains the dealer partners and designers and also helps the end customers by defining their needs and offering suitable solutions from the product offering.
  • The candidate’s responsibility is to create market pull by actively meeting and consulting potential end customers about the benefits of their products vs mechanical access systems and to identify new business opportunities. This is critical to be successful in the role.
  • The successful Candidate will also actively develop partner network in the area and take care of area sales and support of the end customers.
  • The successful Candidate will proactively participate in the marketing of the products and solutions by promoting the company actively on relevant business fairs, events and social media along with demonstrating a high level of commercial acumen with competitor activity and the development of competing products.
  • The 3 year plan is for the Sales Manager to have a turnover in excess of £1M per year.

Key Skills and Experience:

  • The successful candidate will be a highly motivated sales professional that is digitally and technically minded with at least 5 years professional sales experience, of which at least 3 years should be ideally working within a B2B sales role within a similar product sector: EAC, A.I, Door Entry, Locks, Locking Systems, Security Products, Lifts & Escalators or any other relevant mechanically biased technically orientated product sectors related to a partner network etc

Sector experience

  • Advantage to have experience and connections with my clients  primarily targeted customer segments; Residential & student housing, Schools and public facilities, Hospitals, offices, buy to let ,property services.

Technical skills

  • Technical skills that enable the candidate to understand the locking industry or access control industry.
  • Good IT skills. Need to have drivers license.

Our client is looking for an experienced and versatile Marketing Manager to join the growing team. The ideal candidate has experience developing and executing marketing campaigns whilst also managing and inspiring a team.

Objectives of this Role

Specification Sales Manager

Our client is a trusted manufacturer and distributor of furniture fittings, ironmongery and hardware to the trade and specifiers.

They desire someone located in the South East and London region, with major project experience, and contacts within architects, interior designers and main contractor businesses. Experience within a similar product range is preferable.

Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications & Experience Required

  • To demonstrate a competitive and results-driven character with a pragmatic approach when dealing with specifiers in the specification role
  • To be able to communicate effectively, engage with and influence senior stakeholders in the decision-making process

Key Responsibilities

  • To maintain and increase profitable business from your given area on company Specification Sales
  • To develop and maintain excellent customer relationships, to ensure a high standard of customer care is maintained at all times, to assist in overcoming problems and to report to the Head of Specification Sales where it is felt improvements can be implemented
  • To ensure that the Salesforce CRM database is updated daily, with activities entered and completed on time and that all customer records are updated on a regular basis
  • To ensure all outstanding contractor quotations are followed up on a monthly basis and accurate 3 monthly predictions are provided to your Specification Sales Manager at the beginning of each month
  • To ensure that all outstanding specifier quotations are followed up, and CRM records are kept up to date on a weekly basis

  • To promote products from all our manufacturing and 360 supply chain categories in specification and give the required priority to ensure that all agreed product targets are achieved

General Summary

Technical Sales – National – SFR292

Our client is a leading distributor of Security hardware products and locking solutions for both household, commercial and automotive.

The role/position is UK Technical Sales – (Manager/Executive is not particularly relevant) – the individual is primarily a technician who understands the mechanics of the product and key cutting machines but at the same time is fully engaged in the commercial/sales process.

Technical Team

•             Assist the Technical Manager in the day to day running of the department.

•             In the absence of the Technical Manager provide cover and be the main point of contact.

•             As part of the team be prepared to lead by example and ensure we maintain high standards of operation.

•             Take responsibility to ensure customers receive a prompt, quality reply to any technical issues that arise.

•             Work with the Key Cutting department to build closer and stronger links between the sales department and develop the customer reach.

•             Provide explanations of the solutions provided to help the sales team grow their knowledge and provide input to the Group technical team.

Key Machine Sales, Demonstrations and Leasing

•             Develop with the Technical Manager the most cost effective process of securing leasing deals for machines.

•             Where training is required develop with the Technical Manager the program for demonstrations onsite.

•             Work with the relevant Business Development Managers on identifying business potential and opportunities for machine sales.

•             Be prepared to represent the technical department at exhibitions, roadshows, presentations.

We work as a team and the individual contribution is valued, this role being field based is about not only enhancing the technical service we can offer but fundamentally driving machine sales for  products to a much higher level. Okay not specific but realistically we should be looking for £500k of machine sales to support the role. Additionally, we want the UK Technical Sales to become an expert in automotive and look to establish product in a stronger way in the automotive sector.

A van will definitely be required to fulfil the role and this will be kitted out with machines along with associated other products e.g.

Lead generation will be a combination of the UK Technical Sales own activity supported by the BDM’s, Internal office and specific agreed objectives drawn up in collaboration with the Technical Manager and UK Sales Manager.

Importantly anyone coming into the business must be prepared to work within the team to move the business objectives forward – this role is an investment position where we expect the individual to be a self- starter, market aware with a solid technical background. Success will be rewarded accordingly and initially this will be results driven.
